Mighty Writers feat. Corinne Greene

In 2025, Mighty Writers entered an important new chapter following a major leadership transition. After the retirement of founding Executive Director Tim Whitaker in July 2025, Dr. Corinne Green, a longtime board member, Mighty Writers parent, and dedicated advocate, was appointed Executive Director to guide the organization forward.

Dr. Green brings deep personal and professional alignment to Mighty Writers’ mission. She served on Mighty Writers’ Board of Directors for more than four years, including two years as Vice Chair, and has long understood the organization’s role as more than a literacy program. Her connection is rooted in both lived experience and family experience. Having grown up in public housing and benefited from community-based opportunities as a young person, Dr. Green understands the importance of organizations that provide children and families with access, support, and a sense of possibility.
