Healing the Wounds of Racism & Building Beloved Communities

Playback for Change, located in Philadelphia, PA, is a multi-racial, improvisational theater company dedicated to using Playback Theatre as a vessel for social change. One at a time, volunteers from the audience tell a story from their life, choose actors to play the different roles, then watch as their story is recreated on stage.

During this performance at the Philadelphia Ethical Society’s Sunday Platform, we will foster ongoing understanding and self-reflection about how racism is experienced, resisted, and repaired through people’s lived experience, and create relationships of support in ongoing anti-racism work.
