About the event

Philadelphians have a special opportunity to hear two outstanding speakers this month: Hani Almadhoun, co-founder of the Gaza Soup Kitchen, a grassroots organization that feeds thousands of Gazans daily, utilizing the scarce provisions they can find. Mara Kronenfeld is the Executive Director of UNRWA-USA, the UN Relief and Works Agency USA National Committee. UNRWA was established in 1949, after the Nakba, to provide relief and protection to Palestinian refugees, and has been doing so ever since.

This is an opportunity to hear from people who know the situation firsthand about the famine in Gaza, the resilience of the people, and the current conditions on the ground.

We hope to see you there.
