The Richard Regen Surround Sound Theater at the Philadelphia Ethical Society
The Philadelphia Ethical Society has long been a home for ideas, dialogue, and the arts, and support is needed to elevate that tradition through the installation of a state-of-the-art theater system in the auditorium. This transformative upgrade would allow the Ethical Society to present films, lectures, performances, and community events with the highest quality sound and projection, expanding our capacity to engage and inspire audiences of all ages.
We invite you to consider making a leadership gift in honor of the late screenwriter Richard Regen, whose storytelling legacy reflects the very spirit of thoughtful inquiry and human connection that defines our community.
A contribution in Richard Regen’s name would not only memorialize his creative life but also ensure that future generations experience powerful stories and meaningful conversations in a space equipped for excellence. Your support would help create a lasting tribute—a theater where image and sound meet at the highest standard, and where art continues to illuminate ethical reflection.
The system will be inaugurated at the 19th annual Philadelphia Independent Film Festival on May 5th - 8th 2026, where they will be presenting the 1st annual Richard Regen Excellence in Screenwriting Award.
Fundraising Goal: $60,000
